A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it’s surprisingly easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a single click. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will just need to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.
